New containment zones declared in East Khasi Hills District

SHILLONG: The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District in orders issued on 1st October, 2020 has declared the House of Sngewbhalang Synjri at Mission Compound, Ground Floor of the House of Sharmila Mawlong at Lawsohtun, Block-2, Ground Floor of the House of W. Khonglah (tenant) at Riat Laban East, Madan Laban and the House of Wamelang Pyrbot, House of Kiston Nongpluh and House of Aiborname Suting at Qualapatty as Micro-Containment Areas so as to restrict unregulated entry and exit on the sites. The orders state that no persons are allowed to move into the containment areas and inhabitants within these areas shall not move out, besides all inhabitants within the containment areas shall strictly remain inside their homes. Respective Incident Commanders of the above mentioned areas shall supervise and monitor strict compliance of the orders.
