North Shillong MLA Adelbert Nongrum expresses concern over shortage of water

SHILLONG: Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) MLA from North Shillong, Adelbert Nongrum has expressed concern over the shortage of water supply in the constituency.

In this connection, the MLA has directed the PHE and Municipal department to immediately clarify on the matter along with suggestions on however to solve the issue. "The people in some parts of my constituency are facing lots of problem as there is no water supply," Nongrum told this scribe. He said some households have to buy drinking water but there are also those that cannot afford to buy and this creates a problem for them. "Water is an important source to life, hence this problem needs to be solved and taken care of at the earliest," he said.
