The webcasting of inaugural programme of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi was organized at the ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya to sensitize the farmers on steps towards development. More than 100 farmers attended the programme.

The webcasting of the programmes was held in the presence of Governor of Meghalaya, Tathagata Roy. The launch of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi was preceded by Prime Minister’s ‘Maan Ki Baat’ programme which was also telecast for the farmers and further translated into Khasi for them.
