Staff Correspondent

Shillong: After heavy rains that lashed many parts of Meghalaya on Tuesday ahead of the parliamentary elections, talks have surfaced on the weather playing spoilsport on polling day. However, the MET department said that the probability of heavy rain and thunderstorm has diminished.

MET officials told The Sentinel that there might be low-intensity rain in isolated places on April 10 and 11. Elections to the two parliamentary seats of the State will be held on April 11. Campaigning for both the seats ended on Tuesday evening.
