Regional parties are BJP proxies: Mukul Sangma

Shillong: Congress leader Mukul Sangma has stated that the regional parties have been used by the BJP for electoral gains. “The agenda of the BJP is dictated by those sitting in Nagpur (the RSS headquarters),” said Sangma.

While launching a frontal attack against the BJP, the former Meghalaya Chief Minister did not spare the regional parties from the line of fire. He said, “Some parties are proxies of the BJP and the claim of non-alignment is troubling. The BJP merely uses them as agents to act against the Congress.”
