Road inspection in Shillong

SHILLONG: With an aim to speed up construction work on the 3-km road at Jaroit village in Mawryngkneng, East Khasi Hills, local MDC of Mawryngkheng constituency along with officers from different government departments on Monday inspected the road.

The inspection was conducted in the presence of traditional village head of Jaroit along with PWD (Road) and PHE officials. Speaking to reporters after the inspection, Mawryngkneng MDC, Pyniaid Sing Syiem informed that the work on the road is is being given top prioriry.

“As the day for the service (February 3) is approaching, the work on the road is being conducted on a day and night basis,” he said.
