SHILLONG: In its endeavor to work together with the stakeholders of the institution, Sankardev College, Shillong organised an online 'Parents-Teachers Meeting'.

The meeting was attended online via Google Meet by the parents of students and faculty members of the College. The IQAC Coordinator, Manbor S. Warjri highlighted on and informed the parents about the different courses available, the e-learning portal of the College specially designed for the benefit of students and the different online activities and programs of extra-curricular nature, prepared by the institution for the students during this academic session.

The Principal of the College, Dr Eureka F. P. Lyngdoh, in her address welcomed the parents to the meet and expressed her gratitude to them for choosing the College to send their ward to pursue their education.

Ruth Kharbamon, assistant coordinator IQAC, informed that as stakeholders, the parents were taken into confidence about the aims and objectives of the College in its effort to provide quality education for the students, as well as in the preparing them for life.

The Principal dwelt on the counselling and guidance sessions presently offered by the College and said that these sessions which would be of great help to the students especially in these challenging times during the pandemic.

The Principal hoped that the College would be able to achieve its goal with the collective participation of all stakeholders – the management, teachers, students and parents.

In the ensuing interactive session, queries by parents with regards to conduct of classes, exams, distribution of marks and other academic related matters were taken up and discussed whereby a detailed explanation were given.
