Saw-Lyngdoh Higher Secondary School inspected, Shillong

SHILLONG: The Chairman of Meghalaya State Planning Board (MSPB), Lambor Malngiang, along with MLA of Mowkaiaw constituency Nujorki Sungoh on Saturday carried out an inspection of the Saw-Lyngdoh Higher Secondary School, Mowkaiaw.

The members of the School Managing Committee (SMC) submitted a memorandum to Malngiang seeking his intervention on the poor condition and lack of infrastructure at the school at a brief meeting after the inspection.

In the memorandum, the SMC members have highlighted the need to construct and repair the school building which at present is in bad shape, the need to have a playground for the students among other demands

MSPB chairman Malngiang assured the teachers and school students that the government will try its best to solve some of the problems encountered by the school.

He also pointed out that the school has been able to produce a number of government officers. Even the local MLA is an alumnus of the institution.

"I cannot promise that all the demands will be realized. However, the government will try its level best to meet the requirements and fulfil the expectations of the people of the region," he said.
