Sec 144 promulgated in EGH

WILLIAMNAGAR, May 16: East Garo Hills District Magistrate Ramkumar S has promulgated Section 144 of the CrPC in the entire district prohibiting the illegal hunting of wild animals with SBBL, SBML, ?22 rifle, revolver, pistol, air-gun and the like.

According to a press release issued in this regard, it has been brought to the knowledge of the DM that there had been illegal hunting of wild animals by some individuals and groups in the district and informed that emergent steps are required to be taken to prevent illegal and wanton destruction of wildlife.
