Shillong Lajong beat Aizawl FC

SHILLONG, May 17: Shillong Lajong Juniors emerged as the winners in their first game of the U-18 Youth League Final Round Group D after defeating North East rivals, Aizawl FC with a 1-0 margin today at the MFA Ground in Shillong. It was an entertaining game of football as both the teams displayed a top-notch attacking display despite the wet conditions.

It was Kynsailang Khongsit's goal that made the difference in today's match as he scored the winning goal. Kynsai headed the ball into the back of the net from Donboklang's cross in the 58th minute of the match.

With this win, Lajong Junior Reds are at the top of the group D table with 3 points and will play against Ozone Football Academy on May 19 at MFA Ground at 2:30 pm.
