Three cops hurt in Meghalaya Power Minister's convoy mishap

NAGAON: Meghalaya Power Minister James Sangma's convoy suffered a road mishap in the Nonoi area under Nagaon Sadar Police Station on Saturday. A Meghalaya Police Sub Inspector and two constables were seriously injured in the accident.

Nonoi is situated about 10 km from the Nagaon district headquarters.

As per police report, Sangma's convoy was coming from Nagaland to Meghalaya. The driver of one of the convoy vehicles lost control of the car and knocked a truck coming from the opposite direction. The Injured police persons were later admitted in the Nagaon Civil Hospital.

According to police, Sangma was later sent to his destination.
