Three from Meghalaya bag police medals

GUWAHATI: The names of recipients of the President’s Police Medals for 2019 have been announced. As per the list, Meghalaya bagged three Presidents’s Police award while Assam bagged 20, Arunachal Pradesh two, Mizoram 3, Manipur six and Tripura 6. Recipients for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service are Francis Girland Kharshiing, DIG, Shillong; Ploster Syiem, 2nd Commandant 5th MLPBN; and Joelarson R Marak, AB Inspector 5th MLPBn, Meghalaya.
