United Democratic Party leader refutes support to Congress candidate Dr Mukul Sangma

SHILLONG: Senior leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP) Bindo M Lanong stated that there were only a few members of the party who had gone and supported Congress candidate Dr Mukul Sangma for the Tura parliamentary seat. “These people are no longer with the UDP. However, they are claiming that they are from our party which is not acceptable,” Lanong told The Sentinel. He further informed that party leaders of the UDP will visit Garo Hills not for this particular issue but for other party matters. He informed that not a single member of the UDP has gone to support the Congress MP candidate from the Tura constituency.
