United Democratic Party Meeting Held in Shillong

SHILLONG: The United Democratic Party (UDP) Mawkyrwat Circle in a meeting held on December 13, elected new office bearers with an objective to further strengthen the party ahead of the upcoming district council polls in 2019.

The new office bearers of UDP Mawkyrwat Circle includes K. D. Wanniang, General Secretary, Dmanly Lyngdoh Marshillong , Assistant General Secretary , I. Iawphniaw,Chief Organiser, Losmander Marwein, Vice-president and two Working President C. Syiemlieh and Shainkor Nongsiej, Gasper Jyrwa, Treasurer , Donbor Nongsiej, Chief Adviser beside others. The president of UDP Mawkyrwat Circle who is also the party candidate to contest the MDC election in 2019, Anvil Lyngdoh said that the party now has many influential leaders in which the people respect and have confidence in them. He further said that there is only a few units left to elect new office bearers and expects that this will be done in the first week of January 2019, “The party is receiving new members almost every day and I’m confident that I will become victorious in the MDC election from the constituency,” Anvil Lyngdoh said. Lyngdoh in his speech also wished advance Christmas and a happy new year to all the members of the party and residents of the region.
