Water supply shutdown

Shillong, May 16: The Superintending Engineer (PHE), Electrical Circle, Shillong has informed the public that the Greater Shillong Water Works at Mawphlang will be put under shutdown for 24 hours on May 21 from 10 am onwards for taking up maintenance of 7.5 MGD water treatment plant of GSWSS. Supply of water from the scheme will not be available and the public are requested to store water necessary for utilization during the shutdown time. Every effort shall be made to complete the works within the shutdown period, a press release stated.
