About 8.48 Lakh Methamphetamine Tablets worth Rs 17 crore Seized in Indo-Myanmar Border

Aizwal: At least 8,48,000 Methamphetamine tablets worth Rs 17 crore seized by Champhai police in a joint operation with Assam Rifles near Indo-Myanmar Border.

Two Myanmar nationals were arrested by the team.

They have also seized two Bolero pick cars from their possession.

There are reports that these ordinary cold medicinal tablets with Pseudoephedrine content are smuggled out of Mizoram to Myanmar in crores by Mizos themselves where it is processed and comes back to their state as these meth tablets.

It may also be mentioned that Meth is known as one of the most dangerous drug addiction and is an evil which can destroy the youth of the state and the NE Region.
