Assam Rifle organized lecture on 'Fight Against Drugs' at Hmawnbuchhua village

AIZAWL: Lunglei Battalion Assam Rifles of HQ 23 Sector Asaam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), organized a lecture on 'Fight Against Drugs' at Hmawnbuchhua village on Monday. A total of 35 villagers participated in the event.

The aim of the event was to promote fitness and motivate the youth not to indulge in drug abuse. There was an interactive discussion about how the pressure of modern society and individualistic life creates a challenge for the youth across the globe to stay alert and cautious of falling into the drug addiction trap. During the event, they were briefed about harmful effects of drugs and how drugs are destroying the society. They were also briefed about the various means to stop and control the usage of drugs, stated a press release.
