Assam Rifles conducted lecture on 'International Day of Families' at Tuipang

AIZAWL: Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), conducted a lecture on "International Day of Families' at Tuipang town community hall on Saturday. Sixteen local people attended the lecture.

Every year, May 15 is observed as the International Day of Families. The day is commemorated to highlight the important affairs central to the welfare of families, such as health, education, gender equality and social inclusion, among others. The aim of reasserting these goals is to showcase the determination of the United Nations to encourage people to better living standards and social progress of families worldwide. Tuipang Town people were very happy and expressed their gratitude for the initiative taken by Assam Rifles, a press release said.
