As the nation struggles to cope with surging Covid- 19 cases, the Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) have come forward to extend a helping hand to those in need.

AIZAWL: As the nation struggles to cope with surging Covid- 19 cases, the Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) have come forward to extend a helping hand to those in need.

The Lunglei Battalion, on Thursday, distributed the essential food items to a few needy families of Laki Village.

Committed to their motto: "Friend of Hill People", the Assam Rifles has been proactively working across this region to spread awareness and sensitize the locals about the Covid-19 pandemic and help the needy and the poor.

The locals of Laki village appreciated and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for their efforts during this time of need, stated a press release.
