Mizoram CM Discusses Development Plans With IOC And Boeing Representatives

Both IOC (Indian Oil Corporation) and Boeing extended their gratitude to the Mizoram government for its support in fostering growth and development across the state.

AIZAWL: Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma held detailed meetings with representatives from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and Boeing Foundation on November 27, focusing on initiatives to enhance the state’s infrastructure, energy, education, and healthcare sectors.

In his discussion with IOC Executive Director and Sales Head Rajesh Nambiar, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of a proposed oil depot in Mizoram.

Stressing the importance of aligning construction timelines with the state’s working season, CM Lalduhoma called for immediate site selection and faster implementation. Nambiar assured that the project would be completed within two years, with all required documentation already submitted to IOC’s headquarters.

The discussion also included plans to establish 20 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and advance the Mualkhang Bottling Plant project, encouraging local contractors to participate. IOC further outlined its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Mizoram, focusing on improving health and education facilities.

Meanwhile, Boeing Foundation’s CSR Head, Praveena Yagnambhat, presented the organization’s ongoing and planned initiatives. Boeing aims to strengthen Mizoram’s healthcare system by enhancing medical facilities and deploying cancer specialists to Aizawl’s ZMC Hospital.

In education, the foundation seeks to promote STEM learning through Tinkering Labs and Sukanya STEM Labs, in collaboration with the Learning Links Foundation.

The meetings, chaired by Pu Vanlaldina Fanai, Commissioner and Secretary to the Chief Minister, was attended by Education Minister Dr. Vanlalthlana and other senior officials. Both IOC and Boeing extended their gratitude to the Mizoram government for its support in fostering growth and development across the state.
