In the Hnahthial district's Maudarh hamlet, the stone mine accident instantly killed 12 workers, but the body of Islam was never found after repeated search

on November 14 night. The other 11 victims' bodies have been found.

The search operations would continue, said a spokeswoman for ABCI Infrastructure Private Limited.

Eight of the twelve people who went missing after the stone quarry collapsed in the Hnahthial area of Southern Mizoram on Monday had their bodies

found by the Border Security Force (BSF) on 14 November. The remaining four people were being sought after.

Following a blast at the stone quarry, a large  landslide resulted in the disappearance of the 12 people. Out of the team's 13 members, one was able to flee and find safety.

Dr. Tetea, a senior official with the Hnahthial district administration, told the media that so far, eight bodies have been found during rescue efforts by the BSF and other troops, but four people are still missing.

He claimed that night and day are devoted to the search. According to officials, an excavator has been brought in to search for the remaining missing people at the scene.

Earlier, R Lalremsanga, the deputy commissioner for the Hnahthial district, had stated that the search and rescue efforts will go on until all of the missing people are located.

"The post-mortem investigation was completed. Seven of the eight bodies—out of a total of eight—will be flown to West Bengal. The eighth body will be driven to Assam", according to Dr. Tetea.

As per the reports by officials, the bodies were already on their way to Aizawl, where they would be embalmed at the civic hospital before being flown to West Bengal on 16th morning.
