Self-taught Mizoram artist bags Women's Excellence Achievement Awards

Mawii is a self-taught artist and a mother of four, who has been running her own art gallery – Art Novelty Gallery at Chaltlang, Aizawl since 2005. She is also the Chairman of the Art Novelty Institute of Art & Craft.

Besides children, a number of adults who wish to pursue their careers in architecture and fashion designing enroll in her school. She has been motivating and encouraging all her students to pursue their dreams.

The WEAA award is conferred to women from all walks of life from India who have achieved great heights in their respective fields and the award honors their outstanding achievements and contributions towards the society.
