Spike in COVID cases, Mizoram Government extends lockdown

Mizoram: The Mizoram Government extended the lockdown for another week after a spike in COVID-19 cases. The lockdown was extended in the Aizawl Municipal Corporation (AMC) till November 9.

Earlier, the Mizoram government imposed the lockdown for a week till November 3. The decision of lockdown extension was taken in an emergency meeting led by Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga. The government also launched a 'COVID-19 No Tolerance Fortnight' across the state till November 9.

Mizoram has a total of 2757 COVID-19 cases at present.
