Nagaland CM Meets Union Jal Shakti Minister To Discuss Water Management Projects

KOHIMA: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio held a meeting with Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, RD & GR, CR Paatil, in New Delhi yesterday.

The Nagaland CM was accompanied by Tongpang Ozukum, the advisor for Water Resources to the state government. The leaders extensively discussed on water management projects in Nagaland.

CM Rio took to the micro-blogging site 'X' (formerly known as Twitter) to share this news. The meeting focused on persisting water management issues in the state.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Paatil also shared a post on social media to inform about the topics that were discussed in the meeting.

The two leaders deliberated on the ways in which flood management programs, repair, renovation, and revival of reservoirs can be bolstered.

This is to ensure that the small irrigation projects in Nagaland are effectively utilized to the fullest.
