Startup boot camp

KOHIMA: A startup ‘Nagaland Boot Camp’ organized by the Department of Industries and Commerce was held at the Conference Hall of Whispering Winds, Mokokchung recently. This initiative was taken up as part of the implementation of the Nagaland Startup Policy 2019 and also in compliance with the Startup India Ranking Framework 2019 of the Ministry of Industries and Commerce, Government of India. During the programme, motivational talk on startup and entrepreneurship was shared by Rohit Singh, Assistant Commissioner, Mokokchung and Tsukti Longkumer, president, Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI), stated a DIPR release.

Literary competition

KOHIMA, July 29: A literary competition (debate, essay and painting) on the theme “Plastic Free Nagaland” was organized by Wokha Police under the mentorship of Superintendent of Police, Wokha, Manoj Kumar recently. The competition was organized for the children of police personnel studying in different schools in the district, stated a DIPR release. The SP in his keynote address advocated for a beautiful and plastic-free Police Reserve and urged the participating students to be an ambassador for a plastic-free environment.

Police centre inaugurated

KOHIMA, July 29: A police assistance centre was inaugurated at Darogapathar, Dimapur by Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Limasunep Jamir. Delivering his speech, Jamir said that the sub-centre is not only for Darogapathar village but it will cover Phaipijan village, Ura vill, Nahabari and Aoyimti. He informed that public living within the jurisdiction can now approach the station for verifying personal credentials such as obtaining “No objection certificates,” stated a DIPR release.

Poshan Abhiyan

KOHIMA, July 29: Department of Social Welfare, Wokha in collaboration with Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) organized Block Level IEC and advocacy on Poshan Abhiyaan on the theme “Impact and Implication of Teenage Pregnancy and Early Marriage” at the community hall, Wokha village recently. “Wokha district has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy and early marriages and to address this issue, sensitization and educating the teenagers about the medical complication and consequences is the need of the hour,” said Senior Supervisor, ICDS Wokha, Erenbeni Kikon, stated a DIPR release.
