KOHIMA: A media workshop – Vartalap– on identified flagship programme of the Central Government was held for the second time Kohima on Thursday. The workshop was organized by the Press Information Bureau, Kohima. Advisor IT, Science& Technology, New & Renewable Energy, Mmhonlumo Kikon in his speech as the chief guest stated that Vartalap is an important program of the Government of India. It is an attempt to bridge the policy gap between the policy-maker and the implementation and also dissemination for the welfare of the citizens of this country, stated a DIPR release.

Review meeting

KOHIMA: Minister for Agriculture & Cooperation, G Kaito Aye speaking at a review meeting held at the Directorate of Agriculture said that the department is for the people of the State and that the benefit should reach the entire people of Nagaland. He mentioned that the Government of India is focusing mainly on the agriculture sector so the department should tap and implement the different programmes, schemes and utilize it efficiently, stated a DIPR release.

Workshop in Peren

KOHIMA: As part of the Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan (National Nutrition Mission) a day-long school-based adolescent girls workshop was organized by the Department of Social Welfare, Peren, under the theme "Anaemia prevention in adolescent girls, balanced diet and right age of marriage". The programme was held at GHSS Peren on Thursday. During the workshop, DOP (RCH-UIP) Peren Dr M Nukshisangla Jamir spoke on anaemia and diarrhoea management while Grace Newmai, counsellor, Sakhi - one-stop centre (OSC) highlighted on what the law says for right age of marriage, stated a DIPR release.
