KOHIMA: The Asian Development Bank (ADB), at the request of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, is conducting a feasibility study on the proposed North East Industrial Corridor. In this regard, a meeting has been convened on July 11 in the Conference Hall of the Chief Secretary. In the meeting, the ADB team will be making a presentation to the Chief Secretary and senior officials of some departments. The ADB team will also have further deliberations with the departments who have submitted the EoI for PRF and TA under ADB, stated a DIPR release.

Foundation day

KOHIMA: The Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire, celebrated its foundation day-cum-Freshers Meet 2019 at their college premises on Tuesday with SDO (C) HQ Nyempo Wallim as the special guest. Principal of the college, Helen Jamie expressed satisfaction with the academic performance of the college and added that the degree result of 2019 has also improved. The principal also said that e-library is provided to the students including smart class room facility, stated a DIPR release.

Wokha DPDB meeting

KOHIMA: The monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner Conference hall, Wokha on Tuesday. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman and Deputy Commissioner, Dr Manazir Jeelani Samoon. New DPDB chairman Wokha, Mhathung Yanthan also attended the meeting. Addressing the planning board meeting, the new chairman said that board is a very important platform which discusses and address the development activities of the district and he urged the members for their full co-operation, stated a DIPR release.

Awareness workshop

KOHIMA: An awareness workshop on skill for livelihood generation was held at the Deputy Commissioner's office in Kiphire Tuesday. The skill landscape of the district was presented by Viliho Awomi, WWO. Viliho said that the Mahika Shakti Kendra (MSK) is a women folk empowerment centre which is administered by the State Government. Viliho said that this year, with the partnership and collaboration of the district administration, the Department of Employment Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and the State Rural Livelihood Mission organized a skill mela at Pungro and Kiphire. Twelve training partners attended and imparted lessons to young people on how they can be self-reliant in the future, stated a DIPR release.
