Outreach programme

KOHIMA: Tusti Foundation's outreach and mobilization programme for placement orientation training under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) were held at Council Hall, Mon on Wednesday. The programme is being supported by Mon district administration. Somrath Roy Chowdhury, Nikita Chetri and Minakshi Sangma of Tusti Foundation were the resource persons of the programme. Under the programme, free training on aviation, hospitability and tourism for three months will be provided, stated a DIPR release.

Consumers meet

KOHIMA: Sensitizing the consumers about their rights, duties and responsibilities, the Department of Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection organized the first-ever consumer awareness programme at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall in Kiphire on Wednesday. The programme was graced by Principal Secretary Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection, Food & Civil Supplies N Hushili Sema as the guest of honour. SDO (C) Nyempo Wallim said the programme will immensely benefit not only the public of Kiphire but officers from various departments, stated a DIPR release.

Fire & evacuation drill

KOHIMA: The Disaster Management Committee, Zunheboto Government College in collaboration with National Fire and Emergency Service conducted a "Fire and Evacuation Drill" programme at Zunheboto Government college on Tuesday. Principal ZGC, Dr Nishena Neikha said there are possibilities of major disasters if we are ignorant and it can be prevented or minimized through awareness, stated a DIPR release.
