Nagaland Ministers to Unfurl National Flag on Republic Day

KOHIMA: The Government of Nagaland has announced that ministers and advisors will lead the Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2025, in different districts of the state. They will hoist the National Flag and take the Rashtriya Salute during the ceremonies.

The Governor will preside over the event in Kohima. Deputy Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang, responsible for Planning & Transformation and National Highway, will officiate in Niuland, while Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton, in charge of Home and Border Affairs, will oversee the celebration in Mokokchung.

Other key assignments include Minister G. Kaito Aye in Wokha, Minister Jacob Zhimomi in Peren, and Minister Metsubo Jamir in Akuluto. Minister Temjen Imna Along will officiate in Chümoukedima, and Minister C.L. John will represent the government in Dimapur.

Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, will lead the celebrations in Tseminyu, and Minister P. Bashangmongba Chang will be in Noklak. Several advisors, including K. Konyak in Longleng, Tovihoto Ayemi in Kiphire, and N. Y. Mannen in Mon, have also been tasked with responsibilities in their respective districts.
