Nagaland Music Awards To Be Judged By 'Rock-On' Famed Luke Kenny

Kohima: The 13th edition of Music Awards of Nagaland will be judged by none other than Bollywood actor and Luke Kenny of 'Rock On' fame. It was announced that the actor will be present at the award show as the Chief Guest by the Native Trax Society.

The artist has expressed his delight at the news of receiving such an invitation. He also recalled his past visit to the state. 

The artist's joy is unmissed on his Twitter post which read, "Going back to #nagaland is always special with friends and colleagues like @arpitogope @ashwinwashere @nirmika @jishdasgupta @viveick it's gonna be real amaze. Thankyou #thinkfestnagaland @thejameru @taskforce_music_arts for this hugely aspirational and inspirational initiative."

Luke Kenny was a successful DJ who also served as the first VJ on Channel V. He was also the head of music programming at Channel V till 2008.

Kenny had recently played the role of a mercenary in the Netflix series 'Sacred Games'.

In other news, the Nagaland government has adopted a plan to achieve the goal of attaining 100 per cent literacy by 2030, by strengthening Anganwadi centres and early childhood education besides improving infrastructure. At present, the literacy rate of the North-eastern state is 79.55 per cent. Recently the chief minister of the state Neiphiu Rio unveiled the Nagaland SDG Vision 2030 – Leaving no one behind. It provides short, medium and long-term strategies to achieve 17 sustainable development goals (SDG), including quality education.
