GUWAHATI: To cope with the rush of pilgrims during the ongoing Maha Kumbh 2025, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced plans to launch two additional pairs of special trains between Jogbani and Tundla. The services will offer convenient travel options to the huge contingent of pilgrims and visitors at the holy event.
The first special train, designated as No. 05718, will depart from Jogbani at 6:40 PM on February 14 (Friday) and is scheduled to arrive in Tundla at 7:00 PM the following day. The return service, train No. 05717, will leave Tundla at 9:40 PM on February 16 (Sunday), reaching Jogbani at 2:20 AM on Tuesday.
A second pair of special train will also operate, with train No. 05720 departing Jogbani at the same time on February 15 (Saturday) and arriving in Tundla the next day. The return journey, train No. 05719, will leave Tundla at 9:40 PM on February 17 (Monday) and arrive in Jogbani at 2:20 AM on Wednesday. Both set of trains will pass through the important stations of Forbesganj, Katihar, and Prayagraj.
Also, a one-way special train, No. 05841, will leave Rangapara North for Tundla at 5:30 PM on February 15 and arrive at 6:30 AM on February 17.
Likewise, Special train No. 07540 (Katihar-Manihari) leaves Katihar at 8:30 pm to arrive at Manihari at 9:30 pm. In the return direction, train No. 07539 (Manihari-Katihar) leaves Manihari at 5:00 am to arrive at Katihar at 6 am.
