25 year old Nursing Student from Tripura dies while Live Streaming bike ride on Facebook

Agartala: In a tragic incident, a 25-year-old nursing student from Harina village located near Sabroom under South Tripura District died on Monday after he met with an accident while live-streaming his video on Facebook Live.

As per reports, the pillion rider is in critical condition.

Reports claim that the nursing student from Kolkata identified as Rahul Das was on a two-day visit to his native place in Harina Village. Meanwhile, on Monday, Rahul decided to drop in on his friend Suman Das and go visit the site where the Sabroom railway station is coming up, about 12 km from their village.

During his ride, Rahul streamed his Live video to the Sabroom Railway Station on Facebook when accidentally lost his control when rode up the 10 feet grader of the steel bridge.

It is to be noted, Rahul died on the spot, on the other hand, pillion rider Suman Das was rescued by the local people under critical condition.

Later, both were taken to Sabroom Hospital, where Rahul was declared brought dead, Suman was moved to Agartala Government Medical College for better treatment.

Furthermore, family members of the deceased Rahul informed the media that on Saturday before boarding his flight from Kolkata to Agartala, he had pulled off a stunt on EM bypass in Kolkata.

Rahul was repeatedly asked by his parents for not performing such dangerous stunts while riding a bike, but, he didn't listen, claimed the father.

Also, Arindam Nath (DIG) stated before the media that the police is investigating the matter. "We have registered a case based on the statement of the eyewitnesses and the pillion ride Suman," said the DIG.
