Science City to Come up in Tripura: Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma

Agartala: Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma stressed on the need for positive use of science and technology and announced that the government is planning to set up a science city in Tripura to showcase the scientific developments across the world and at the same time to encourage the next generation.

He was speaking as a special guest in the International Science Fair at Kolkata where many other dignitaries and eminent scientists were present. Citing various destructive sides of science and technology, he said our next generation should be educated in such a fashion, so that, they can avoid the ill-effects of science and technology and adopt its positive sides.

He said the present Central Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken many projects to encourage the scientific fraternity of the country and urged the scientists to make full use of it and to make India a hub of scientific achievements.
