Agartala: In a tragic incident, the dead body of a ninth semester MBBS student in Agartala Government Medical College was recovered on Monday evening. The deceased student is identified as Adarsha De, who is of 23 years of age. The body of the deceased was found hanging at his hostel room. His father, however, has claimed that his son was murdered. He has demanded a proper investigation and immediate action against the one behind the killing of his son.

While, the police have started investigating the case believing it as a case of suicide, and have further recorded the statements of the hostel staff and Adarsha's classmates. Reports say that Adarsha was involved in share trading. However, he became depressed after the sudden downfall of the stock market due to the detection of the new mutant strain of coronavirus. Police also came to know that Adarsha invested a lot of money in share market, which has crashed down. This had put him into serious trouble. From Facebook, the police came to know that Adarsha was a Forex trader, a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) marketer and an expert on Binary Options.

The MLA of the area and the Deputy leader of the opposition party, Badal Chowdhury also demanded a high-level investigation into the case as he also thought that the incident happened under mysterious circumstances.

Ashok De, the father of Adarsha De alleged that there were no signs of hanging. Ashok De told the media that if his son hanged himself, how could he be found lying on a bed. And why did anyone bring him down. He said that he initially got a call that his son met with an accident, however, when they reached the hostel, they heard a different version of the story.

On the other hand, the college authority said that Adarsha was found hanging by his peers, who bought him to the hospital to save him, but they failed.
