Agartala: “Development is a continuous process and it can be achieved only through changes. Accept and acclimatize with time and changes taking place all around,” said Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma.
He was addressing a gathering after launching GeM Samvad, a part of the national outreach programme, at Pragya Bhawan here on Saturday. He said the new system will enhance the possibility of expanding the business of small and medium traders as well as will ensure full transparency.
Talking about how the government and the people, in general, will be benefited from the portal, he said currently the government is in the dark about what commodities are entering into the State and where these are being marketed.
He urged the business community to come forward to take advantage of this facility.
In an oblique reference of the previous government, he said they were afraid of accepting any changes that lead the State into stagnation. “The new government has broken this jinx and progressing towards developments. Benefits of these changes are now visible in the field of health, education, Rega implementation, etc., and people are happy,” he added.
