AGARTALA: A large group of unemployed youth gathered in front of the Shiksha Bhavan’ in Agartala City on Monday to protest the delay in the publication of recruitment notifications for TET, STGT, and STPGT. The protesters also submitted a deputation to the TRBT Chairman, Dr. Pratyush Ranjan Deb, demanding immediate action.
One of the protestors said, “The TET and STGT exams were conducted in 2022, and it’s been two years with no new recruitment process. Despite multiple appeals to the Chief Minister and TRBT, we have received no proper response”.
Many of the protesters are qualified graduates, holding B.Ed or D.Ed degrees. They expressed frustration over the increasing number of B.Ed graduates in the state without job opportunities.
The protesters voiced their demands for the recruitment notification to be published within this month. The protest underscored the urgent need for government intervention to address the employment crisis among the state’s educated youth.
TRBT Chairman Dr. Pratyush Ranjan Deb met with the representatives in response to the protest and promised to address their concerns. “We understand the urgency of the situation and will do our best to expedite the recruitment process,” Dr. Deb stated.
The protest reflects the growing frustration and desperation among the unemployed youth of Tripura, who hope that their voices will lead to swift government action and the publication of the much-awaited recruitment notification.
