Fake IPS officer apprehended by locals in Biswanath

Watch | A fake IPS officer was apprehended by locals of Biswanath Chariali and was handed over to Biswanath Police on Tuesday.

The person identified as Smith Sethi, a resident of Bhubaneswar in Odisha introduced himself as the Drug Inspector in front of the homeopathic practitioners had duped them for over Rs 50 to 60 thousand since last couple of months and further assured to provide them a proper pharmacy license.

Meanwhile, looking at his suspicious movement near Charu Homeopathy clinic, locals caught him and interrogated him.

Some local people had also immediately informed police.

Later, locals handed over him to police.
