NSUI demands release of Assam Youth Congress President in Biswanath

Demanding unconditional and immediate release of Assam Youth Congress President Kamrul Islam Choudhury, the members of NSUI stage a protest near Rajiv Bhawan in Biswanath on Tuesday morning.

The members also burned the effigy of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

It may be mentioned that Kamrul Islam Choudhury was arrested on charges of alleged vandalism during the protests opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Choudhury was arrested for allegedly indulging in acts of violence during the anti-CAA protests in Guwahati.
