10 cartons of Arunachali Liquor seized in Biswanath, One Apprehended

The Excise Department in Biswanath District launched an operation and seized more than 10 cartons of Arunachali liquor from a godown on Friday and apprehended one Bijay Chundi in connection to the matter.

The apprehended person was handed over to Biswanath Police.

As per police reports, Bijay has been operating in the area for the past couple of years.

Meanwhile, accused Bijay was sent to jail.

Earlier on Tuesday, based on secret information that Arunachali liquor would be transported illegally early morning from Banderduwa via Gohpur, Helem in two trucks without any valid documents, police carried out checking near Helem Police Station in Biswanath district and managed to seize two six-wheeler trucks bearing numbers AS-01 LC-5714 and AS-01 HC-0096.
