Joint Secretary of Pengri AASU unit joins ULFA (I), asserted Family Members

Amidst the widespread protest against Citizenship Amendment Act by the students organizations and several other civil society groups across Assam, there are reports surfacing in the social media claiming the joint secretary of Pengri AASU unit Biju Gogoi has joined the rebel militant organization ULFA(I) since January 3, 2020.

Speaking to the media, the brother of Biju Gogoi informed that he was last seen during a protest rally by AASU against contentious Citizenship Act at ITI field in Tinsukia on January 3 and reported missing thereafter.

Biju Gogoi later in Facebook status had informed his friends that he has joined the rebel group.
