Water supply scheme remains incomplete

The water supply scheme sanctioned way back in 2007 from Centre is yet to be functional. In this regard, the Makum Regional unit of All Assam Students' Union had submitted a memorandum to the concerned minister on November 22nd last but even after that no step was taken to provide safe drinking water to the people of Makum region through this scheme. So, the regional unit of AASU Makum burned the effigy of urban development minister as a mark of protest.
