GUWAHATI: ACA stadium, Barsapara turned yellow on Sunday as fans gathered in large numbers to greet the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and legendary MS Dhoni. It is the first occassion when CSK visit Guwahati to play an IPL match and the support they received from the local crowed was unimaginable even though it was the home game of Rajasthan Royals. The atmosphere was electric before the start of the game, with fans eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of their idol Dhoni. Many supporters were seen wearing Dhoni’s iconic No. 7 jersey, showing their unwavering support for the legendary cricketer. As the CSK bus entered the stadium, a massive crowd had already gathered near the gate chanting Dhoni’s name and expressing their excitement for his return to the city. The excitement was noticeable, with fans waving placards featuring images of Dhoni. The security officials had to spend a tough time to control the crowd and guided the team bus to go inside the stadium. This was Dhoni’s first visit to Guwahati since his last appearance in 2018, when he played an ODI against the West Indies. The fans were eager to witness the charismatic leader in action once again, as the gallery turned into a sea of yellow, with almost 80% of the spectators cheering for CSK.
