Arunachal Kabaddi team display outstanding performance
The Arunachal Kabaddi team displayed an outstanding performance in the National Sports Championship-2021 and made the State proud by bringing the championship trophy to the State on Thursday.

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Kabaddi team displayed an outstanding performance in the National Sports Championship-2021 and made the State proud by bringing the championship trophy to the State on Thursday.
The three-day championship was organized by National Sports & Physical Fitness Board which was held at Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun.
"For the first time ever a kabaddi team has brought laurel to the state defeating other teams such as Haryana, Gujarat and Rajasthan", said Arunachal Kabaddi Association (AKA) President Bamang Raman while speaking to media persons here.
He also said that the association is overwhelmed with the victory of the team, adding, the association will try its best to lead the team to participate in the international tournaments too.
He informed that the association will organize districtwise Kabaddi tournament in order to provide opportunity to talented sports person of the state.
Further, the AKA President appealed to the state government to provide help in getting a permanent coach and stadium for the players in order to build talented and strong players from the State.
He also appealed to generate job opportunities for the medal bearers.
Raman urged today's youth to be involved in sport activities in order to remain physically fit and stay away from drug abuse.
