GUWAHATI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy, scheduled to be held in Dubai and Pakistan. Rohit Sharma returns as the captain for the 50-over ICC tournament, marking another leadership opportunity for him in this prestigious event.

The Champions Trophy, making a return to the international schedule after eight years, will be held in a hybrid format. India’s matches will be played in Dubai, while the rest of the games will take place across three venues in Pakistan. India will begin their campaign on February 20 against Bangladesh, followed by group-stage matches against Pakistan and New Zealand in the eight-team tournament.

India will look to bounce back from their heavy defeat in the 2017 final against Pakistan at The Oval. The team had previously won the Champions Trophy in 2013 under MS Dhoni’s leadership and was also declared joint-winner in 2002 alongside Sri Lanka after the final was washed out.

The India squad for the Champions Trophy 2025 includes: Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja. Additionally, Harshit Rana will replace Jasprit Bumrah for the series against England.
