
GUWAHATI: Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, will flag off the ‘Fit India Cycling Tuesdays’ initiative on December 17 in New Delhi. In more than 1000 locations on the same day Cycling rally will be carried with the twin message of fitness and health as well as green transportation. Sports Authority of India, Regional Centre, Guwahati will carry out the same spirit in 10 locations in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, and Sikkim in collaboration with schools, local cycling clubs, district administration, and My Bharat volunteers. The 10 locations are namely SAI NCOE Guwahati, LNIPE Guwahati, SAI STC Kokrajhar, SAI STC Golaghat, Khelo India Centres in Biswanath Chariali district and Lakhimpur district, SAI STC Naharlagun and NCoE Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, STC Namchi in Sikkim and STC Shillong in Meghalaya.
