Five Assam Weightlifters to Represent India at Commonwealth Championship

GUWAHATI: Five weightlifters from Assam will represent India in the forthcoming Commonwealth Youth, Junior and Senior Weightlifting Championship which will be held in Ahmedabad from August 24. The five weightlifters selected in the Indian team are: Bedabrat Bharali (79kg), Bhavna Gogoi (58kg), Dharmajyoti Deoghariya (56kg), Abhinab Gogoi (71kg) and Hemanta Doimari (71kg). In addition, Alakesh Baruah, a high performance coach from the Sports Authority of India, also appointed as the coach of Indian team.
