GUWAHATI: Joshna Chinappa continued her impressive form in the 5th All India Brahmaputra Squash Championship, storming into the semi-finals after a stunning upset over the top seed in her quarter-final match at the RG Baruah Sports Complex on Sunday.

Facing Anjali Semwal in quarter finals, Joshna triumphed in straight games, winning 11-5, 12-10, 13-11. Meanwhile, Aaradhana Kasturiraj and Ananya Narayanan also secured their spots in the women’s semi-finals.

In the men's draw, Om Semwal, Ayaan Vaziralli, Abhishek Pradhan, and Diwakar Singh all advanced to the last four stage. The day also saw a major upset in the Boys Under-11 category, where local talent Ayaan Kaushik (seeded 5/8) pulled off a thrilling win over second seed Aarav Kothaplaii from Maharashtra. Ayaan's fearless play and determination earned him a well-deserved spot in the semi-finals, much to the delight of the home crowd.
