MILAN: Lautaro Martínez struck a second goal in injury time to complete Inter Milan’s 3-2 comeback win over title rival Napoli in Serie A on Saturday.

It was a night of comebacks in Serie A, with Roma joining Inter with a dramatic two-goal rally in the dying minutes that kept the teams at the top of the standings with three wins in as many rounds. Martínez’s goals ensured that Inter kept up its early title defence.

Napoli looked to be comfortably in charge after Matteo Politano and Rasmus Højlund scored in the 50th and 53rd minutes. But Martínez pulled one back three minutes later, and Marcus Thuram equalised in the 82nd just moments after hitting the post.

Martínez found the winner after Manuel Akanji scrambled a loose ball to him at the far post to poke home, unleashing celebrations at San Siro. Agencies
