Assam bag 4 medals in 38th Junior National Athletic Championship at Coimbatore

GUWAHATI: Assam won four medals including two gold in the 38th Junior National Athletic Championship at Coimbatore on Friday. The two gold medals came in the U-14 60m race and U-14 high jump. Sneha Deka won the gold medal in the 60m race with a timing of 8.06 sec. Zubin Gohain collected the other gold medal in the high jump covering a height of 1.73m. Snigdha Pratim Konwar bagged a silver in the U-14 shot put (16.27m). The lone bronze medal came in 1500m in the U-20 category and was won by Mehdi Hasan. Earlier Mehdi broke the meet record in the heat with 3.46.53 timing.
