GUWAHATI: Assam Cricket Association (ACA) hosted its Annual Awards Ceremony at the ACA Stadium Complex in the city on Wednesday. During the event ACA distributed a total of Rs 71 lakh as prize money to 38 outstanding cricketers who delivered exceptional performances during the 2023–24 and 2024–25 cricketing seasons.
Additionally, the winners and runners-up of the APCC (Assam Premier Club Championship) for both years were felicitated with cash awards — Rs 10 lakh for winners and Rs 5 lakh for runners-up in each season.
The Awards Ceremony was graced by BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia as the Chief Guest. Also present on the occasion were ACA president Taranga Gogoi, secretary Tridib Konwar, vice president Rajdeep Oja, joint secretary Rajendra Singh, treasurer Chiranjit Langthasa, and several other top officials of the association.
In his address to the gathering BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia lauded the players dedication and discipline and also acknowledged the invaluable role of coaches whose relentless guidance and commitment have been instrumental in shaping the state’s cricketing success.
Saikia also highlighted the BCCI’s continued commitment towards strengthening grassroots infrastructure in Assam and the Northeast, ensuring that emerging players get top-class exposure and opportunities..
Congratulating the award winners, ACA President Taranga Gogoi reiterated ACA’s dedication to providing top-class facilities and opportunities for cricketers in Assam, stating that the association would continue its efforts to raise the competitive standards and bring more laurels to the State.
